- Treat every firearm as if it was a loaded firearm.
- Be sure of your target before you pull the trigger.
- Never point a firearm at anything you don’t intend to shoot.
- Always carry a firearm so that the muzzle is under control.
- Firearms must always be unloaded when carried into camp or not in use.
- Make sure the barrel and action are clear of obstructions.
- Unattended firearms must be unloaded.
- Never climb a fence or ditch with a firearm.
- Never shoot at flat, hard surfaces, or the surface of the water.
- Avoid alcohol and drugs while hunting.
